THE ARTISTS
ABHIJIT POHANKAR received training in Indian classical music as a harmonium player from his grandmother Dr. Sushiia Pohankar and his father, well-known vocalist Pandit Ajoy Pohankar. Later he started experimenting classical music on a synthesizer and received valuable training in developing harmonious patterns on the instrument from Santoor maestro Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. Today, he is an eminent classical instrumentalist in his own right.

His repertoire of music extends from Indian classical music to Western fusion. His recent performances at prestigious music festivals in Mumbai, India and in the Middle Eastern countries include solo concerts as well as accompanying his father on harmonium.

Satyajit Talwalkar, who is accompanying on Tabla, is the son of Tabla maestro Pandit Suresh Talwalkar and a well known vocalist Smt. Padma Talwalkar.
